As 2025 draws to a close, my heart is filled with gratitude for all that God has done at Malaysia Bible Seminary. This has been a year of challenges and also of great joy. Once again, we have seen His faithfulness in sustaining our faculty, students, churches, and ministry partners.
The auspicious season of graduation in our seminary is always one of my favourite events. It is a moment to pause and give thanks for lives shaped and equipped here, and to send our students into the world with prayers. This year, we give thanks to God for 23 graduates from the English Department, where they graduate with the following diplomas and degrees:
– 1 graduand with Doctor of Ministry (DMin)
– 3 graduands with Master of Divinity (MDiv)
– 5 graduands with Master of Christian Studies (MCS)
– 1 graduand with Master of Ministry (M.Min)
– 3 graduands with Graduate Diplomas in Christian Ministry (Diploma Lepasan Pelayanan Kristen)
– 1 graduand with Bachelor of Theology (BTh)
– 3 graduands with Diploma in Theology (Dip Theo)
– 5 graduands with Certificates in Christian Ministry (Sijil Pelayanan Kristen)
Behind each number is a face, a calling, a testimony of God’s grace. Many of our graduates come from other states in Malaysia or other foreign nations; some will return to their home countries, others will step into new fields of ministry, education, and service. Although they may go far, you will always remain part of the MBS family. Our thoughts and prayers are with them. We believe the Lord who brought them here will continue to deepen your knowledge of Him and empower them to make Him known in their churches, communities, workplaces, and nations.
We also thank God for the ways He allowed us to serve the wider Body of Christ this year. The third IDMC (Intentional Disciple-Making Conference III) in Chinese and English brought together pastors, leaders, youth, and children from across languages and cultures. For the English IDMC, we have a total of 320 (onsite and online) participants from various countries, and for the Chinese IDMC we have a total of 390 (onsite and online) participants joining in. These gatherings reminded us that disciple-making is not confined to classrooms but extends across generations and nations.
Looking ahead to 2026, we are prayerfully planning new initiatives to strengthen theological education, expand our partnerships with churches, and provide fresh opportunities for leadership and discipleship training. We invite your continued prayers and support as we prepare to welcome a new cohort of students and to deepen our service to Christ and His Church.
Dear graduates, as you step into a new chapter, may you continue to grow in Christ, to live out His truth and love, and to make Him known wherever He sends you. Remain rooted in Scripture and prayer so that your ministry overflows with His grace.
“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last.” (John 15:16)
You will always carry MBS’s prayers and blessings. We rejoice in what God has done in you, and we look forward to hearing how He will work through you in the years ahead. All glory to God alone!
In Him,
Dr. Jason Lim
(MBS‘s Principal)
