Manuscripts and the Formation of the New Testament

A Special Lecture in conjunction with the launch of the Biblical Studies Lecture Room.

If you are curious to find out how some of the earliest manuscripts of the New Testament look like, come visit us.

One of the lecture rooms in MBS has now been lined with beautiful images of some of the most important NT manuscripts. But do we know how did we get the NT? How do we make sense of the phrase “most of the earliest and reliable manuscripts do nothave ….” found in the footnotes of ourEnglish translations? With so many copies available, can we ever be sure what is most likely to be the original reading of the NT?

Rev Dr Lim Kar Yong will address these issues in a special lecture. He is an Adjunct Lecturer in NT Studies and has been teaching NT in theological seminaries for more than 14 years. He is also a Pastor (Christian Education) at Petaling Jaya Evangelical Free Church.
